Kirstie Allsopp addresses the 2011 Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards

Kirstie Allsopp, best known for co-presenting television's 'Location, Location, Location' has taken to the stage in front of more than 400 women as the keynote speaker at the 2011 Woman of the Year Luncheon and Awards. The television property guru spoke to a 400-strong audience of the region's most prominent women. Considered to be the 'Oscar ceremony' for enterprise and personal achievement outside of London, the event has raised over half a million for its chosen charities since its inception.

In what promised to be an inspiring and entertaining address, Kirstie - who has been co hosting with Phil Spencer on Channel 4's 'Vacation, Vacation, Vacation' this summer – discussed a 'Week in the life of Kirstie', sparking laughter and applause throughout. However, Kirstie did remain focused on the importance of following entrepreneurial instincts to the attendees. Judy Groves, the awards Chair, said:

As well as working in the property business and presenting popular television shows, Kirstie has published books including the forthcoming Kirstie's Great British Book of Craft and launched a brand new home ware range with Marks and Spencer, in addition to her own brand Kirstie Allsopp Home Living. The stories of how she achieved this success were fascinating to hear.
